This is it

 I'm back from a long day of school, all prepped and ardent in my determination to finish that damn pixel drawing I set out to make. I've got an audiobook of The Prince ready to play in the background, and I'm going to play it good.

 I'll take this damn doodle and fix its blemishes as I draw the outline of the pixel drawing itself over it.

 I took the trouble so far and I'll take it through.

 EDIT 1: I've been searching for the layer opacity option in GIMP for a while only to find out that it was above the layer organization segment of the layers window I keep open at all times when I draw. That is to say it was in front of me all this time.

 Trifle. I'm going to do this.
